A Few Changes in our District
On behalf of the North Star District it is my pleasure to announce the following individuals have accepted positions of service in the North Star District.
, effective immediately, will be serving as our new District Commissioner. In this role he will report to the council commissioner. He will work with the roundtable commissioner and staff, unit commissioners, and assistant district commissioners. In this role they will focus on helping Scout units succeed and maintain BSA standards as they coach, consult with, and visit regularly with every unit in the North Star District.
, effective immediately, will be serving as our District Program Chair. In this role he reports to the District Chair. He will work with the civic service, training, camp promotion and outdoor, and advancement and recognition chairs to make sure their operating committees are trained, adequately staffed, and that programs are planned and promoted. He will work with the District Executive and operating chairs to make sure goals are set, progress is tracked, and goals are completed.
, effective immediately, will be serving as our District Advancement Chair. In this role he reports to the Program Chair. He will stimulate advancement and recognition opportunities among all units and Scouters; ensuring national policies and procedures are implemented. Within his committee he will work with Ray on adult recognition, Bodie and Ray on Silver Beavers, Sue on merit badges, and Kris and Bodie on Eagle boards and Eagle project approvals.
We are looking forward to these experienced Scouters guiding their committees and helping to support the units, youth, and leaders in the North Star District. We have full confidence in their abilities!
