Scout WatchScouters Minute

Graham Allen, North Star

Scouting prepares young people for life, while teaching timeless values and having a ton of fun. I will always remember attending the 1997 National Boy Scout Jamboree at Fort A.P. Hill, Virginia. There I mixed with 30,000 other Scouts and volunteer leaders for an adventure of a lifetime that taught me Scouting skills, reinforced values, provided me an opportunity to overcame personal challenges, and grow as an individual.

What Scouting adventure are you involved with today or looking forward to in the future? Get involved today as a leader (stop wading in the Scouting stream – jump in and start swimming!), run the program as provided by the BSA, and participate in local Council and National events. If you do this, you and your Scouts will experience adventures today with memories that will last a lifetime.
